KAYAK Adventure

Paddle through the calm mangrove estuaries of Coronado de Osa, where dense canopy forms living tunnels above the water. Spot herons, monkeys, and kingfishers with your expert local guide. All equipment, dry bag, and fresh fruit included.

The choice is yours: a paddle through the mangroves or an adventure out on the open ocean — just let us know your preferred route when you book. Heading into the mangrove channels, you'll find more than five species of mangrove trees, each with its own striking flowers and fruit, along with American crocodiles, caimans, raccoons, hawks, iguanas, and basilisks watching from the roots and branches. Or point your kayak the other way, riding the swells out toward the reef at Whale's Tail — a legendary spot for snorkeling. Your expert guide leads you along the reef, pointing out a variety of marine species in their natural habitat, and conditions permitting, you'll get an exciting snorkel session before paddling to the Whale's Tail sandbar for a relaxing break with fresh fruit. Afterward, you'll ride the ocean swells back to the beach on your kayak, soaking up every last bit of the adrenaline.
